Giorgos V. Matsoukas

George Matsoukas was born in Athens in 1956 but grew up and has permanently resided in Rhodes, only leaving for his studies. He has been involved with the Italian language since 1971. In July 1976, in Siera, Italy, he attended the educational seminar "Corso di alta cultura," a special series of intensive Italian courses for foreigners. He then pursued literary studies (Lettere Moderne) in Pisa, completing them in 1982, with his thesis focusing on the "Political History of Art and Philosophy." Later, he specialized in teaching Italian as a foreign language (Universita di Pisa/1984), under the guidance of professors Mirko Tavoni, Fabio Bartoli, and Annamaria Grecas. His total stay in the neighboring country lasted 10 years.
