Tasoula Karageorgiou

Tassoula Karageorgiou was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1954. She studied at the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens. She holds a Ph.D. in Classical Philology from the University of Crete and served as a school counselor for philologists from 2007 to 2015. Since 2007, she has been teaching at the Poetry Workshop of the Takis Sinopoulos Foundation. In 1986, she published the poetry collection "Fragmentum No. 53" with Plethron Publications. This was followed by the collections: "The Spindle that Bleeds" (Plethron, 1989), "Diaspora" (Plethron, 1994), "Poetic Technology" (Kedros, 1998), "The Metro" (Kedros, 2004). Her poems have been published in magazines such as "Planodion," "Poetry," "Nea Estia," "Papadiamantika Tetradia," and included in anthologies, while her articles have appeared in newspapers like "Avgi" and "Kathimerini" and in magazines such as "To Dentro," "Philologiki," "Nea Paideia," "Grammata kai Technes," "Anti," "O Politis," among others. She is married and the mother of two children.
