THanasis CHeimonas

Thanasis Cheimonas was born in 1971 in Athens. He made his literary debut with two short stories in the newspaper "Ta Nea"—the first of which is included in the short story collection "Love in the First Person" (Kedros). He holds a degree in Philology from the University of Strasbourg, studied film at the same university, and journalism in London. His first novel, titled "Ramon," was published in 1998, followed by "Broken Greek" in 2001, and subsequently: "Unfathomable Soul" in 2003, "The Blue Hour" in 2005, "Rapid Deterioration" in 2007, "I Don't Love Her Anymore" in 2010. In May 2002, "Ramon" was published in France by Alter Edit, followed by "Broken Greek" in March 2003. He has worked as a sports editor for a political newspaper and regularly contributes to the website www.mediasoup.gr. In the 2012 parliamentary elections, he was a candidate for the PASOK party, though he was not elected. Today, he serves as the Secretary of the Culture Department of PASOK.
