Fani D. Vavyli
Professor in the Department of Architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.). She studied Architecture at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic School of A.U.Th. and at the Medical Architecture Research Unit of the Metropolitan University of London (Master of Arts, 1981). She obtained her Ph.D. from the Department of Architecture of the Polytechnic School of A.U.Th. in 1985. Since 1975, she has been teaching Architectural Design and supervising research topics, theses, and doctoral dissertations. With the belief that science should be closely linked to and serve the needs of society, she has published articles in scientific and architectural journals and more than 30 books, issues, and teaching notes, primarily focusing on the architecture of healthcare spaces, welfare, and social architecture.
