Malorie Blackman

Malorie Blackman used to work as a computer programmer, but now she works solely as an author. She has held various other jobs in the past, including public relations, catering, and as a shop assistant. Malorie Blackman has published over forty books and has won several awards, such as the Young Telegraph Children's Book of the Year Award for her books "Hacker" (1994) and "Thief!" (1996). The book "Hacker" also won the WH Smith Mind Boggling Books Award in 1994. "Pig-Heart Boy" was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal in 1998. When not writing, Malorie Blackman enjoys reading, playing the piano or saxophone, watching films, and playing video games. She lives in London with her husband and daughter.
