Penelope Lively

Penelope Lively (born 1933) is a successful author of books for both children and adults. Her works, including "The Whispering Knights" (1971), "The Wild Hunt of Hagworthy" (1971), "The Ghost of Thomas Kempe" (Carnegie Medal in 1973 for best children's book), "A Stitch in Time" (Whitbread Award in 1976), and "The Revenge of Samuel Stokes" (1981), prominently feature supernatural elements. Among her books for adults, "Moon Tiger" stands out, having won the Booker Prize in 1987.
