Leandros Polenakis

Leandros Polenakis was born in Athens in 1945. He studied at the Law School of the University of Athens and at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. He holds a doctorate from the Department of Mass Media and Cultural Management at Panteion University in Athens. Since 1978, he has maintained a permanent theater criticism column in the newspaper "Avgi." He has translated classical and modern authors from four languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian), as well as ancient Greek texts from the original. He has collaborated with major scientific and literary journals and has published four books of poetry and prose. He taught at the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Patras and currently teaches at drama schools.
