THomas Skassis

Born in Athens in 1953, the author studied Law at the University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies at University College London. He practiced law for 20 years. He is a member of the Society of Authors and the president of the European Translation Center. He has published short stories and novels. In 2004, he was awarded the State Translation Prize for his translation of "The Tram" by Claude Simon. He has translated works by Henri Troyat, Don DeLillo, Graham Swift, Martin Winckler, Jean-Marie Laclavetine, Francois Salvaing, Claude Simon, among others
