Kostia Kontoleon

Kostia Kontoleon is an author and translator. She has translated over one hundred books, including works by Joyce Carol Oates, Philip Pullman, Thomas Savage, Roald Dahl, Markus Zusak, Robert Cormier, Penelope Fitzgerald, R. K. Narayan, Maya Angelou, Melvin Burgess, among others. She has been honored with various awards, notably the State Translation Award in 1992, the Greek Society of Literary Translators Award in 2003, and has been twice listed on the Honorary List of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY).
