Susan Barker

Susan Barker is the author of four books. Her third novel, The Incarnations, was selected as an Editors’ Choice and Notable Book by The New York Times, included in Kirkus Reviews’ list of the ten best books of the year, and was shortlisted for the Kirkus Prize for Fiction. An excerpt from her novel OLD SOUL was awarded the Northern Writers’ Award for Fiction in 2020. Susan currently lives in Manchester, where she works as a lecturer in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
