S. F. Williamson

H S.F. Williamson is fascinated by the way languages are born. For her, languages live, move, and breathe. As a child, she learned that knowing languages means gaining access to ideas, traditions, and people she would otherwise never know. The Language of Dragons is inspired by her work as a literary translator and by the realization that, no matter how well-crafted a translation may be, some meaning is always lost. She holds a master's degree in writing from Bath Spa University. She lives in France with her family and two cats.
