Known for her passion in advocating for animals and her ability to explain how animals think, she has authored several books, including "Emergence: Labeled Autistic" (co-authored with Margaret M. Scariano), "Thinking in Pictures: And Other Reports from My Life with Autism," "Genetics and Behavior of Domestic Animals," and "Livestock Handling and Transport."
