Giorgos CH. Papachristos
Giorgos Chr. Papachristos was born in Ioannina in 1955. He studied Economics and Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and is a political editor for the newspaper "Ta Nea." He began his journalism career in 1976 with the magazine "Athenorama" and has since worked for the newspapers "Vradyni," "Exormisi," "Eleftheri Gnomi," "To Vima," and the magazine "Tachydromos." Throughout his career, he has covered a wide range of reporting, from sports and cultural to general and parliamentary journalism. For three years, he curated and presented the show "Thyra 300" on the subscription channel Supersport. He has served as a board member of the Journalists' Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA) and has been awarded the Botsis Foundation Prize for the Report of the Year for his revelation of the Kostoulas Report on the A. Ocalan case. He is married to Natasa Dimaki, and they have two children, Christos and Valia. His first novel, "Shadows in the Colonnade," was a bestseller for many months in 1999.
