The astrophysicist Stratos Theodosiou was born in 1949 in Athens. He is the President of the Union of Greek Physicists, a regular member of the Body of Emeritus Professors at the University of Athens, and a member of the International Astronomical Union (I.A.U.). He has dedicated himself to teaching and researching topics centered on the History and Philosophy of Astronomy and the Physical Sciences, as well as Astrophysics, focusing on areas such as Satellite Spectroscopy in the Ultraviolet, Active Temperatures of Stars of Earlier Spectral Types, Binary and Variable Stars, among others. He has published over 350 original research papers in international astronomical journals and proceedings of international conferences, hundreds of articles in the Greek daily and periodical press, and has delivered more than 450 lectures at Greek and foreign universities, institutes, scientific associations, and several other organizations. Committed to popularizing Astronomy, he has authored 30 books on Astrophysics and the History and Philosophy of Sciences, a body of work that has received multiple awards. Finally, together with his collaborator Manos Danezis, he has presented the television programs "The Universe I Loved" (110 episodes) and "This is How I See the World" (16 episodes), both featuring scientific themes.
