Dimitris K. Psychogios was born in 1948 in Lechaina, Ilia. He is literate, remembers some of the arithmetic he learned while studying Physics, and quite a bit about the history and ethnology of Greece, which he focused on during his doctoral studies. He has been a researcher at the National Centre for Social Research, a professor at Panteion University, where he taught courses on mass media and writing, and a member of the National Radio and Television Council. He has occasionally been involved in politics and has always worked in newspapers and magazines ("Eleftherotypia," "Avgi," "Antitheseis," "Anti," "Difono"), eventually joining "To Vima" in 1990, where he continues to write every Sunday under the pseudonym Diodoros Kypseliotis. He is married and a father of many children. His novel "It Snows Quietly on the Wild Pines" (Gavriilidis, 2011) is his first published work.
