Richard Clogg

The historian Richard Clogg was born in Rochdale, Great Britain, in 1939. He is internationally recognized as an authority on modern Greek history. He is a Fellow at St Antony's College, University of Oxford, and served as a professor of modern Balkan history at King's College, University of London, from 1988 to 1995. He is the author and editor of numerous books and articles on Greek history and politics. His book "A Concise History of Greece" has been translated into Turkish, Japanese, German, Spanish, Serbian, and Italian, and is being translated into Russian, Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian, and Chinese. In his effort to integrate the history of the Greek state with that of the Greek East and the Greek Diaspora, Professor Clogg is currently focusing on an extensive historical period of Hellenism in modern times.
