
THodoris Tsapakidis
Theodoros Tsapakidis was born in 1970 in Brussels to parents who were political refugees. He moved to Greece with his family at the age of eight. He grew up in Palaio Faliro and studied mechanical engineering in Patras. Upon returning to Athens, he became involved in literary translation and theater, and later in teaching at the secondary education level. He has translated theoretical texts on theater, as well as philosophical and scientific works, and literature (including authors such as Gordimer, Barry, Oz, Kinar, Manchette, Highsmith, T. Benacquista, among others). He has written plays and published poetry ("The Third Oarsman from the Left," Roes, 2003, "Room Sky," Sokolis, 2017), a novel ("Belladonna," Bibliopelagos, 2001), and a fairy tale ("The Prince of Menoua," Roes, 2005). He contributes articles on cultural topics to online media (Left.gr, Commonality.gr, Bookpress.gr, etc.) and hosts a radio show (Yaxempore / Metadeftero).
