Nancy Huston

Nancy Huston was born in 1953 in Calgary, Canada. She studied semiotics and music in the USA and France, where she now resides permanently after marrying the renowned essayist Tzvetan Todorov. She has written the novels "The Goldberg Variations" (1981), "The Story of Omaya" (1987), "The Plainsong" (1993), "Critical Stage" (1993, translated by Rena Hatzhout, Kastaniotis Editions, 1999), and "Instruments of Darkness" (1996, translated by Rena Hatzhout, Kastaniotis Editions, 1998), which have received numerous awards in France and America. She has also published essays and children's books.
