Georgios Leontaritis

Journalist and author Giorgos A. Leontaritis was born in Athens and has roots in Asia Minor. From a young age, he engaged in nearly all forms of journalism across various newspapers. Since 1965, he has worked as a reporter, political editor, and columnist. Concurrently, he has written historical readings, many of which were published in serial form in the daily press, while others were released as books. For several years, he served as vice president and general secretary of the Journalists' Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA). He closely observed political figures who dominated the 1950s and 1960s, researched, studied, and gathered valuable archives and data covering the entire spectrum of political life, unveiling behind-the-scenes events that shook the course of the country and provided a new perspective on critical chapters of our history.
