Teos Romvos

Teos Romvos was born in Athens in 1945. His early years were marked by night schools, confrontations with paramilitaries, various jobs, and a rebellious lifestyle. In 1961, he embarked on a journey at sea, living at different times in Latin America, Japan, the United States, and elsewhere. He had more permanent stays in France (1966-1969), Germany (1969-1974 and 1987-1991), Athens (1974-1981), Kranidi, Peloponnese (1981-1984), Africa (1984-1985), and during all the intervals, in Athens. Since 1993, he has been residing in Ano Syros. In France, he attended film courses and created his first experimental films. Later in Germany, he mingled with German writers, worked on unfinished films, worked in German television, and wrote scripts and literary tapes. In post-dictatorship Athens, he opened the bookstore "Octapus" and ventured into publishing. He was the publisher of the magazine "Trypa." His works have been published in magazines and newspapers. He has authored several books, including "Telephymatosis" (1976), "Three Moons in the Square" (1985), "Deceptive Road" (1987), "Assassins of the North, Drosoulites of the South" (1991), "Text Passion" (1995), "Traces" (2002), "Flowers of Stone" (2003), "Secret Journeys" (2005), and "Plotinos Rodokanakis, a Greek Anarchist" (2006).
