Vefa Alexiadou was born in Volos and has been residing in Thessaloniki for many years. She is married to Konstantinos Alexiadis, a professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and they have two daughters, Angela and Alexia. A chemist-dietitian and a graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she pursued specialized studies in the United States focusing on food hygiene, table decoration, and modern culinary arts. She modernized Greek cuisine by employing contemporary methods and devices while preserving traditional flavors. She collaborates with numerous Greek and international magazines and is a member of the Association of Greek Publishers and Booksellers. Her books "Greek Cooking," "Greek Pastries," and "Festive Table" have been translated into English and are successfully distributed in England, South Africa, Australia, Canada, and America. She is a member of the I.A.C.P. (International Association of Culinary Professionals) and participates in various gastronomic symposiums and seminars organized worldwide. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors of "Archestratos" (Center for the Preservation and Dissemination of Greek Gastronomic Traditions).
