Roy Thomas

Roy Thomas was born on November 22, 1940, in Missouri, USA. From a young age, he showed his love for comics by writing and drawing his own magazines. He worked as an educator for four years before beginning his collaboration with Marvel Comics in 1965. Since then, his name has become inextricably linked with the illustrated adventures of R.E. Howard's Cimmerian hero, which he began writing in the early 1970s, illustrated by Barry Windsor Smith. Recently, he returned to the legendary hero with the publication of an encyclopedia about the Hyborian Age and the adventures of the Barbarian.
