Kostas D. Mpliatkas

Born in Naousa in 1957, the author holds a degree in Biology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He also studied Media Organization and Management. He worked for many years at the newspapers "Macedonia" and "Thessaloniki," served as the director of 102 FM of ERT-3 (1994-96), and was the deputy director of the International Productions department (1999-2001) of ET-3. He also worked in private television and the Athenian press, collaborating with the BBC and various Greek and international magazines. He is the creator of well-known programs on public television, such as "With a Third Eye" on ET-3, which he hosted for 12 years (1995-2006), "Up Close," "The Thessaloniki Groups," among others. He is a member of the Journalists' Union of Macedonia and Thrace Daily Newspapers (ESIEM-TH). His books include: "Titanic, Whispers from the Deep" (2012), "Sorry, You Lost!" (2010), "The Tall One: The Official Autobiography of Antonis Antoniadis" (Motivo, 2007), "Giorgos Koudas: The Game of My Life" (Ianos, 2005), "Introduction to Television Reporting" (Ianos, 2002), "Dionysis Savvopoulos: Underground Route" (Ianos, 1999).
