Antonis Delonis

Born in Athens, he served in Public Education and since 1979 has been writing novels and plays for children and young adults. His works and texts have been included in many anthologies and have been translated into French, English, and Russian. Antonis Delonis is primarily an author for teenagers and young adults. His works reflect the concerns, dreams, and hopes of young high school students. With lively language, humor, and an understanding of their psychology and the various problems they face (at school, at home, in society), he "builds" novels that are captivating, sensitive, optimistic about the future, and full of faith in love and friendship. He has received several first prizes for novels, poetry, and theater. In 2008, he was awarded the State Prize for the children's novel "I Love a Cat! Okay?".
