Hal R. Varian

Hal R. Varian is an emeritus professor at the School of Information, the Haas School of Business, and the Department of Economics at the University of Berkeley. He is an honorary member of the American Economics Association and the chief economist at Google. He has been awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Prize. He is the author of the commercially successful book "Information Rules." He writes for the Financial Times and has numerous publications in scientific journals.
