
Omiros Avramidis
Homer Avramidis was born in Cyprus in 1939. He studied Greek and French philology at the University of Athens and worked as a teacher in schools in Cyprus. He also pursued applied linguistics at the Sorbonne and worked as a teacher in secondary education in Cyprus. In 1975, he moved to Athens, where he worked as a translator and book editor, as an editorial director in publishing companies, and as a representative of foreign publishing houses in Greece. Since 2002, he has been dedicated exclusively to writing. He has authored several books.
