Stayros Ntagios
Stavros Dagios was born in Argyrókastro and holds a Ph.D. in History from the Department of History & Archaeology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research and academic interests focus on the study of inter-Balkan relations, particularly the Albanian factor in Balkan developments. He is the author of the monograph: "The International Dimension of the E. Hoxha - J. B. Tito Rift and the End of the Greek Civil War 1945-1949," Thessaloniki 2004, and the collection of folk songs "Disinherited Nation: The Folk Literature of the Greeks of Northern Epirus," Thessaloniki 1997. He has participated in international conferences and collective academic works on the history and literature of Balkan countries, contributing a rich body of bibliographic work. As a literary translator, he has successfully translated works of Greek literature into Albanian and vice versa, with the most notable being "Life and Times of Alexis Zorbas."
