Giannis Plachouris

Giannis Plachouris was born in 1951 in Athens and hails from Tetrakomo, Arta. He studied and has worked in journalism, holding various positions in daily and periodical press, radio, and as a press advisor for major companies. In the realm of literature, he has published eleven poetry collections and four fairy tales from 1973 to the present. Additionally, he released a Karagiozis play and the unique literary magazine "Kentron," in collaboration with Demosthenes Kordopatis, outside of commercial circulation. He has contributed to various literary magazines ("Erevna," "Exopolis," "Index," "KLP," "Lychnari," "Mandragoras," "Periplous," among others) and newspapers with columns, essays, and book reviews. He has served on the boards of the Aetopouleio Foundation, DEPA Chalandri, the Hellenic Authors' Society, the Panhellenic Federation of Journalists' Unions, as Secretary of the Center for Asia Minor Greek Research of the Municipality of Nea Ionia, and as president of the Union of Periodical and Electronic Press Journalists.
