Professor of Theatre Studies in the Department of Philology, University of Crete from 1982 to 2005. Director of the research program "Sources of Modern Greek Theatre History" at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (FORTH) from 1988 to 2007. Awarded for excellence in university teaching in 2004.
