THeofano Kalogianni

Theofano Kalogianni was born in 1967 in Thessaloniki. She spent her childhood in Sweden and her teenage years in Lemnos. She studied art conservation, English literature, and also delved into Byzantine music and paleography. Her first book, "The Death of Knight Celano," was published by Estia in 1988 and was awarded the K. Ouranis Prize by the Academy of Athens in 1992. Her second book, "Stories from the Scriptures," was released in 2001 by Oceanida Publications. In 2004, her third book, titled "Anoixon," was published by Estia, written for the performance of the same name that premiered at the Athens Concert Hall in October 2003. Her fourth book, "The Garden with the Grays," was also released by Estia in 2004. She contributed to the collective volumes "Athens at Night" (Periplous, 2002) and "Five Painters in Search of an Author" (Zoumboulakis Gallery - Patakis Publications, 2003). Her writings have been published in daily and periodical press. She has translated literature from Swedish, Norwegian, and English. Today, she lives and works in Athens.
