Dimitris Varvarigos

Dimitris Varvarigos was born in Athens. He graduated from an English literature school "awarded by the writing school" and writes for television, theater, and literature. His theatrical works include: "Hypatia" by the theater group Anadrasi in 2013, "Liesanores" at Vafeio Theater from 2015-2016, "Remorse," "Love and Death." The theater group "DIODOS" staged his works: "The Needs of the Senses," "The Dream of a Love," adaptations from the short stories by Zacharias Papantoniou: "The Reed of Anapli" and "The Soul of Gatoma." "A Grandfather, What a Grandfather" from the musical theater scene, "Three Swamps" at Life & Art theater from 2016-2017, and "Medea in Lust." Books: Published by N.S. Batsioulas, his works include: "Hypatia," a historical novel in its 10th edition. The book "Hypatia" was presented in the main hall of the Library of Alexandria in Egypt in 2007. It was made into a film titled "Agora" and staged as a play in 2013 at the Akadimia Theater. "Liesanores," a historical novel in its 3rd edition, published by N.S. Batsioulas, was staged in 2018-2019 at Vafeio Theater. From Agkyra Publications: "The Postscript of an Apology," a novel, and "What We Loved Was Left Behind." Illustrated children's books include: "Theodora, a True Empress," "Digenis Akritas, the Hero Who Became a Legend," "Constantine Palaiologos - The Last Emperor," and "The Nika Revolt - The Great Uprising." "I Have You," from Hellenic Initiative Publications "The Magical Madness of Creation," an essay on creative writing. "Anima Mia," a novel from En Typos Publications. Poetry: "Certificate of Nonexistence" by Chr. Dardanos. "Carpe Diem & Amour Fou," from Lykofos Publications. "Faith and Pride," a novel from 24 Grammata Publications. Dimitris Varvarigos is a cultural representative of UNESCO for literature, arts, and sciences for Petroupoli. He is a radio producer for the show "Through You" on Symban World Radio Australia. He is a member of "Historical Writers" and part of the editorial board of the literary magazine "Rogmes." He is also a contributor to the newspaper "Morfotikos of Petroupoli." He has participated as an instructor in creative writing workshops in the municipalities of Petroupoli, Amorgos, Paros, Atalanti, at the Cultural Club of Petroupoli, and with the publishing houses Agkyra and Enastron.
