Katerina Koskina

Katerina Koskina is an Art Historian and Museologist, serving as the Artistic Director of the Ioannis F. Costopoulos Foundation. She was born in Corfu. Koskina studied French Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and pursued further studies in Art History, Archaeology, Greek Literature, and Philosophy of Art at the Sorbonne in Paris. She also studied Museology at the École du Louvre. She holds a Ph.D. in Art History. Koskina worked for four years as a Special Advisor at the European Cultural Centre of Delphi. She has curated numerous solo and group art exhibitions and served as the National Commissioner for the 23rd São Paulo Biennale in 1996 and the 51st Venice Biennale in 2005. Additionally, she has authored texts for books and exhibition catalogs, as well as articles for newspapers and art magazines. She is a member of ICOM and AICA Hellas. From 2000 to 2004, she was the Artistic Advisor for the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games / Athens 2004 S.A. She has also been a member of the Aesthetic Committee of ATTIKO METRO S.A. since 1998 and the Curator of the Alpha Bank Art Collection since 1992. She assumed the role of President of the Board of Directors of the State Museum of Contemporary Art in December 2008.
