Nikos Pilavios

Nikos Pilavios was born in Athens in 1943. He first performed in the inaugural children's theater established in 1951 and continued acting there, as well as on radio and in cinema, until he was sixteen. At seventeen, he enrolled in the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece, graduating in 1963. After studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, he began his professional career in 1966, performing in theater, radio, and television until 1974, when he left theater acting. In 1975, he took on the radio program "Children's Radio Library" as a producer, translator, actor, and adapter. In 1977, he was tasked with organizing the entire children's program for the A’ Program of ERT radio, and in 1978, he was hired by ET1 as the Head of the Children's Programming Department. There, beyond his administrative duties, he managed the entire children's program as a producer, and as a director, screenwriter, and presenter, he created shows such as "The Storyteller," "Write the Story," and "The Millipede." In 1987, he resigned from ERT and founded the television production company "Saita," which produced dozens of programs for ET1, ET2, ET3, MEGA, STAR, and Educational Television until 2008. From 2001 to the end of 2002, he served as the CEO of the television channel PATRA TV in Patras. He currently works as a producer, actor, and screenwriter at his son's television production company, "Movie Teller Films." As an author, he debuted in 1983 with two children's books, and from 1987 to 1990, he had a regular column in the magazine "Tilerama" and the newspaper "Ethnos tis Kyriakis."
