Kyrkos Doxiadis

Kyrkos Doxiadis was born in Athens in 1955. In 1986, he earned a Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science and Sociology at Birkbeck College, University of London. He is an associate professor of Social Theory with a specialization in Communication at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens. His published books include: "Subjectivity and Power: On the Theory of Ideology" (1992), "Ideology and Television: On the Adaptation of a Novel" (1993), "Nationalism, Ideology, Mass Media" (1995), "Society, Ideology, Ethics" (2001). In 2008, his book "Discourse Analysis: Socio-Philosophical Foundation" was published by Plethron Publishers and was also released in English in 2011 by Common Ground Publishing.
