Petros A. Stathopoulos

Petros Stathopoulos is a professor of Social Work and Social Policy at the Frederick Institute of Technology in Nicosia. He has served as a professor in the Department of Social Work at Frederick University Cyprus as well as in the Department of Social Work at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. He has taught as a visiting professor at various European universities. He studied Sociology at Concordia University and pursued postgraduate studies at McGill University in the School of Social Work (Community Work - Social Planning). He received his Ph.D. in Social Policy from Brandeis University (USA). He has taught at Deree College and Fitchburg State College. He worked as a researcher at Columbia University and at the Lipton Mental Health Center (Director of Research and Evaluation). He has been involved for many years in Community Development programs in the USA, Canada, and Greece. He has published articles in both Greek and international books and journals.
