CHristos Daniil
Christos Daniil was born in Emmanouil Pappas, Serres, in 1969. He currently resides in Epanomi, Thessaloniki. He holds a Ph.D. in Modern Greek Philology from the University of Ioannina, where his doctoral thesis examined the relationship between post-war surrealism and folk songs. He teaches at the Hellenic Open University and the Open University of Cyprus and has also taught at the Faculties of Philosophy at the Universities of Thessaloniki and Ioannina. His articles and studies have been published in literary journals such as Mandragoras, Porphyra, Poetry, Odos Panos, among others, and in the proceedings of scientific conferences. He has published the following books: "Glass and Golden... Ioannina in Modern Greek Prose," K. Katsaris Foundation, 1997, "Giorgos Likos, a Presentation by Christos Daniil," Gavriilidis 2005, "Rereading Nikos Kavvadias, Poetics and Reception" (2010). His latest work is "Ious, Manius, Perhaps Aqua Marina, Matsi Hatzilazarou, the First Greek Surrealist," Topos 2011.
