Kika Poulcheriou

Born in 1934 in Lakatamia, a suburb of Nicosia, she worked as an educator for many years. In 1982, on the occasion of International Children's Book Day, her message, the book "Sun of Peace," was sent translated to all member countries of IBBY. She has been honored with several awards in Cyprus and abroad, and her name was included in the Honor List of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). Since 1993, she has been the President of the Cyprus Association of Children's and Young Adult Books (the National Section of IBBY).
