
Thich Nhat Hanh
Thich Nhat Hanh is a globally renowned spiritual leader and peace activist. He was born in Vietnam in 1926. Martin Luther King Jr. described him as an "apostle of peace and nonviolence" and nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967. He founded dozens of meditation centers in America and Europe, as well as more than a thousand local mindfulness practice communities. He has authored over a hundred books on meditation, mindfulness, and the practical application of Buddhism, as well as poetry, children's books, and commentaries on ancient Buddhist texts.
