Jerry Spinelli

Many well-known young adult literature books bear the signature of Jerry Spinelli. In 1991, he was awarded the Newbery Medal for the book "Maniac Magee." The idea for writing "Stargirl" came several years ago when he was working as an editor for a financial magazine. He lives with his family in Pennsylvania.
