Maria Stefanopoulou

Maria Stefanopoulou was born in 1958 in Athens, where she lived until 1976. She studied philology at the University of Rome and theater in Stockholm and Paris, where she continued to live and work until 1997. She has published the following books: "Takis Sinopoulos: Poetry and Essential Loneliness," Poreia, 1992, "Apostrophe," Agrostis, 1992, "The Theater of Sources and the Nostalgia of Origin," Poreia, 1994, "The Journey of Souls," Armos, 1999, "The Silence that Dwells in Houses," Armos, 1999, "The Rock in the Cloud," Estia, 2006, "The Dreamers" (a play), Smili, 2007; the novel: "Athos, the Forester" (2014, Petros Haris Foundation Award of the Academy of Athens 2015); essays: "The Return of the Shadow" (2015).
