Nikos D. Triantafyllopoulos

Born in 1933 in Didymoteicho, where his father served as a philologist, he grew up and resides in Chalkida. He studied philology at the University of Athens, under the guidance of renowned scholars such as Stylianos Korre, Antonios Chatzi, Konstantinos Vourveris, and Ioannis Stamatakos. From 1959 to 1990, he worked in secondary education, spending the first three years in Cyprus. He has published the poetry collections "The Burrow," Domos, 1979, and "For the Sea Nightingale," Domos, 1984 (non-commercial edition), the prose works "Three Sea Idylls," Domos, 1985, "Wind's Warning," Public Library of Chalkida, 1989, "Harbor Master of Evripos," Kedros, 1993, Nefeli, 2002, "Nonexistent Harbor," Diameter, 1998, and the "mixed genre" work "The Deep Well or Explosions of Related Flares," Stigmi, 1989. He is also engaged in the publication and study of the works of Alexandros Papadiamantis and Alexandros Moraitidis.
