
Kostas Poulos
Kostas Poulos was born in Elikonas, Boeotia. He studied classical philology at the University of Athens and Byzantine and Modern Greek philology at the Universities of Würzburg and Munich. He worked as a philologist in secondary education at both day and evening high schools in Greece and abroad. His postgraduate studies resulted in award-winning translations (Literary Translators' Association) of Byzantine "novels" into Modern Greek. He has written books for adults ("Almost Seas," published by To Rodakio) and primarily for children. In the field of children's literature, he has written, translated, and adapted numerous works. Some of his books have been translated into foreign languages or adapted for the stage.
