Jill Murphy

Jill Murphy began drawing and writing stories from a very young age. She started making books (using a stapler) at the age of six. She wrote her first book, about a mischievous witch, at the age of eighteen. Since then, her books featuring the witch protagonist have sold over four million copies and are considered among the beloved classic children's books. Additionally, she has written and illustrated numerous award-winning books for younger audiences.
