William J. Kraemer

William J. Kraemer is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Connecticut, located in Storrs, USA, and works at the university's Human Performance Laboratory. He is also a professor in the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology and a professor of medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Health. He received his Ph.D. in Physiology-Biochemistry from the University of Wyoming in 1984. He has served as president of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He has been honored by the NSCA for his long-term scientific contributions (1994) as well as his teaching contributions (2002). Additionally, he is the editor of the scientific journal Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
