Nigel Warburton

Nigel Warburton was born in 1962. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. He taught philosophy at the University of Nottingham and, between 1994-2012, at the Open University in England. He has also delivered popular philosophy and aesthetics courses at the Tate Modern, Tate Britain, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Barbican Art Gallery, the Birmingham Library, among others. He is the author of numerous books and articles on philosophy and frequently hosts philosophy-related programs. Among his works are "Philosophy: The Basics" (1992), "Thinking from A to Z" (1996), and "Free Speech: A Very Short Introduction" (2009).
