Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman was born in 1960 in Portchester, England, and now resides in the United States. He is one of the most significant storytellers of our time. His most important work is considered to be the 10 volumes (75 issues) of the comic "The Sandman," which has received numerous major awards in countries such as the USA, England, Germany, and others. The central character of "The Sandman" is Morpheus, the enigmatic lord of the dream world. His most well-known novels include "Neverwhere," which was adapted for television, "Stardust," which won the award for Best Fantasy Novel of 1999, and of course "American Gods," the only book in the history of fantasy literature to have won the Nebula, Hugo, Bram Stoker, and Locus awards, and was nominated for the World Fantasy Award. Many of his short stories have been included in the collection "Smoke and Mirrors: Short Stories and Illusions." He has exactly three children and approximately seven cats.
