Apostolos Karpozilos

Apostolos Karpozilos is a professor at the University of Ioannina. He was born in 1942 in Athens. He studied medieval history and Byzantine philology at the University of Illinois (M.A. 1966), Yale (M.Ph., Ph.D. 1971), and later at the University of Munich (Institut für Byzantinistik 1972-1975) as a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Since 1977, he has been teaching Medieval Philology at the University of Ioannina.
