Giannis G. Galanos
Doctor of Psychiatry from the University of Thessaloniki. Recipient of a scholarship from the French government. He pursued postgraduate studies at the Saint-Anne Hospital in Paris, invited by the renowned French psychiatrist Henrie Ey in 1959. He interrupted his academic career for political reasons. He has authored 32 psychology books and 4 psychological novels, with 26 published and the rest forthcoming. From 1943 to 1945, he participated in the national resistance and was a member of the presidium of EPON Thessaloniki. Between 1942 and 1952, he was exiled to Folegandros, Ikaria, and Makronisos. From 1959 to 1999, he worked as a psychiatrist. He applied historical-dialectical materialism to psychology and psychopathology. From April 1993 to 1995, he was responsible for a radio program on ERT Thessaloniki, where he hosted 100 one-hour broadcasts, serving as a public university of psychology.
