Vasiliki Iliopoulou

Vasiliki Iliopoulou was born in Kozani in 1948. She studied film. Since 1972, she has been writing and directing for both cinema and television. She has directed two feature films ("The Passage," 1990, "With a Scream," 1995) as well as short films and documentaries. She has also curated programs for the Second and Third Program of the State Radio. Her first book, the novella "Liouba and Other Scents," was published in 2000 by Estia Publications. Her short story collection "The Heart of the Hare" was released in 2005 by Polis Publications. In 2010, she was awarded the State Novel Prize for her book "Smith" by Polis Publications. In 2013, her novel "The Exercise of Rot" was published by Patakis Publications, and in 2017, her stories titled "The Monster in the Metro" were released.
