Stefanos Stamatis

Stefanos Stamatis hailed from Epirus. His main occupations were the sea and tourism, while he also worked in radio and the press for a few years. His first book was the short story collection "The Field of Dreams," published in Athens in 1960. This was followed by seven more books, most of which were novels. He collaborated with magazines and newspapers, and his writings are included in many collective editions and anthologies. His prose is characterized by elements of fantasy, lyricism, and dream-like qualities, and the reviews of his works have generally been exceptionally laudatory.
